Every year on August 12, the world celebrates International Youth Day – an occasion spearheaded by the United Nations, which celebrates young people and raises awareness about issues that affect them.
At Nestlé, we are committed to helping the next generation of leaders for years to come. That’s why, last year we launched the Youth Initiative in Canada – a three-year program that will offer over 5,000 young Canadians the opportunity to fulfill their ambitions, develop their professional skills, increase their employability and expand their network.
We recognize that while young talent bring tremendous skill and diversity to our workforce, unemployment levels continue to be high. We know it can be challenging to find meaningful work experience and it can be difficult to know where to begin. That’s why we launched the Youth Initiative – it’s our way of helping to make a difference.
We’re also thrilled to announce that for the second year in a row, Nestlé Canada is the official partner of the QMA Challenge! Last year, the Challenge Champions received paid summer internships and the chance to work on top Nestlé brands, like our amazing confectionery brands. Participating in this competition is just one way we’re helping young Canadians develop valuable skills.
