March is Nutrition Month and Nestlé Canada is proudly celebrating!

Nutrition Month 2017

For more than 30 years, the Dietitians of Canada have named March “National Nutrition Month”, and Nestlé Canada is pleased to celebrate. This year’s theme Take the Fight out of Food, highlights dietitians as the experts with the most credible food and nutrition resources and information to help you make the best choices possible. Eating should be an enjoyable experience for everyone, not a source of frustration or confusion. We encourage you to join Canadians this month to learn how to Take the Fight out of Food!

Nestlé Canada is supporting Nutrition Month by encouraging our employees to make sound nutritional choices all year-round and endorsing evidenced based information about nutrition whenever possible. We are also asking our employees to take the pledge to Take the Fight out of Food by spotting the problem, getting the facts and seeking support from Nestlé’s internal Nutrition, Health & Wellness team, all of whom are Registered Dietitians. Nestle Canada highly values the expertise of Registered Dietitians, and currently employs approximately 25 RDs in a variety of roles across the Canadian marketplace. We believe in a lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, proper nutrition and physical activity, while making life pleasurable with products that are both nutritious and delicious.

At Nestlé, we recognise the value of we have committed to initiatives helping consumers choose appropriate portions through specific packaging and product size and have developed systems to help reduce sugar, salt and fat and increase healthy nutrients.
