Quality Street makes cultural celebrations special

Quality Street makes cultural celebrations special

Quality Street treats have been a Canadian favourite for over 75 years.  Since its creation, the utmost quality has been in place in every delectable piece of chocolate, caramel and toffee. Quality Street treats are available in a variety of tins to suit a variety of different occasions.

Quality Street tins are an excellent choice for sharing, gifting and celebrating with friends and family,” says Aahona Banerjee, Marketing Manager, Nestlé Canada. “Not only is Quality Street the number one chocolate sold at Christmas, it also plays an intrinsic role in making cultural celebrations special with both the Muslim and South Asian communities.”

For the past four years, Quality Street has been a leader in connecting with South Asian and Muslim communities in the highly diverse Canadian cultural landscape. Quality Street started by creating a specific Diwali tin and an award winning-ad communicating across specific South Asian media channels.

Since the heritage and traditions of Quality Street are deeply rooted amongst a diverse group of cultures and communities, Nestlé Canada began sampling the Quality Street tins in new places and reaching new audiences. In particular, Quality Street is especially popular among Muslim communities – as the perfect gift for friends and family and treats to share during Eid, the day that commemorates the end of the holy month-long fast of Ramadan.

This year, Nestlé Canada showcased its Quality Street products at the Halal Food Fest 2015 – the largest halal food festival in North America and at MAHOTSAV, a South Asian summer festival. You can also check out Quality Street products at the Dandiya Dhamal in September, the second largest attended South Asian event for the Navratri festival in the Greater Toronto Area.

This Diwali, look for a new special Quality Street 550g celebration gift tin, designed with a beautiful and intricate design inspired by South Asian patterns. This new tin will be a great gifting option during Diwali, the festival of lights. In November, Nestlé Canada will showcase the festive tin at the Diwali Festival, a free outdoor event celebrating South Asian music and dance.

Quality Street imported treats contain no artificial colours or flavours, alcohol or gelatin, making them the perfect treat for all. Quality Street products are available in a variety of tin sizes and can be purchased in all major retailers across Canada.
