Name: Rachelle Kennedy
When I was fresh out of school and looking to start my career, I was interested in working at Nestlé, as I saw it as a leading company where I could receive world-class training and experience.
Role:Director of Category & Shopper Development, Infant Nutrition & Health Science;
Time at Nestlé: Over 17 years
In my time here I’ve had the opportunity to take on exciting roles that continue to challenge me and allow me to gain experience across divisions, functions and borders, while working on major brands, including Smarties
, to name just a few.
My professional background at Nestlé includes marketing, and it was through this area I was able to gain international experience working on a global project at our headquarters in Switzerland. There I contributed to a project focused on developing global best practices for marketing. This experience was one of the biggest, most rewarding projects I’ve worked on so far. With this project, our mandate was to collect and develop best practices for all our marketers to use – whether in Canada, Russia, China or France. To meet this challenge, Nestlé assembled experts from all around the Nestlé world with diverse experience. They gave us a tough mandate, but the freedom needed to deliver a best in class solution.
While I love many aspects of working at Nestlé, it’s the people who make Nestlé such a great place to work. I am consistently impressed not only with the calibre of our people, but how down to earth and collaborative they all are.
