Each year, Nestlé Canada employees come together to raise funds and awareness for Kids Help Phone, through initiatives like the Kids Help Phone Golf Classic and the Walk So Kids Can Talk.
“For the past 25 years, Nestlé Canada has been a proud supporter of Kids Help Phone,” says Shelley Martin, President and CEO, Nestlé Canada. “As a Kids Help Phone founding partner, we believe strongly in the way Kids Help Phone makes a difference in the lives of Canadian youth.”
Walking for heroes at the Walk So Kids Can Talk
The 2014 Walk So Kids Can Talk, held on Sunday, May 4, saw more than 10,000 walkers come together in 25 communities across the country, raising over $3.5 million in support of the organization.
“As a national sponsor of the Walk So Kids Can Talk, Nestlé Canada provides financial support through corporate sponsorship and employee-driven fundraisers like an online auction, bingo and bake sales,” says Martin. “Over the years, our employees have helped raise more than $700,000 for Kids Help Phone through the Walk. These funds then help Kids Help Phone provide an outlet so every young person in Canada can confidentially and safely call, e-mail and text the help line to discuss their concerns.”
